Adding the Book of Exalted Deeds to the Realms? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I am playing in a game that is realms based and after getting the Book of Exalted Deeds we all wanted to start over and play exalted heroes.

Here is what I have to ask, all input is important and I am hoping to catch the eye of a wizards employee and get a response.

We are starting at fifth level and I want to play a Gold 1/2 dragon that will become a Vassal of Bahamut, which is a new prestige class out of TBOED. Here is the trouble I am having and hoped you may help out.

My Dm has read the Avatar series and has a great understand of the Realms Gods, and thus we hit a wall. Bahamut is a Grey hawk god and not a realms. In my last game we fought fallows of Tiamat, which do exist in the realms.

Silly me I assumed that if they had Tiamat that they'd have Bahamut as well but they don't. Since they are mortal enemies, why isn't her on Toril?

Who do the good Dragon's worship and is it possible to play this prestige class?

My Dm doesn't want to mess up the pantheon to allow me to play a really cool character idea and I understand that.

So can I get some Idea's as how to be able to work this out with out upsetting the Pantheon? My Dm said maybe chose a realms God that was closer to it but none of them focus on Dragons, slaying evil dragons' or the likes.

Please, I'd like to hear what you all have to say in regards to this and how my dm and I may come to a happy middle ground, where I get to play my hero and he gets to stay true to the Realms?

If any wizards guy to feel like responding, what happen to Bahamut? Did he fall threw the cracks or was it that he is a Greyhawk God and thus that is why he was left out?

Please all feel free to give me advice, I'd like to hear what you all have to say?

10-26-03, 10:02 PM Much of the FR panteon was cut during the 3ed conversion, Bahamut was one of them. Sean Reynolds posted an Unofficial web enhancement that put Bahamut back in the FR, this web enhancment has since been taken down at the request of WOTC who said they will repost Seans revised god list on the WOTC website.

Sooner or later it will no doubt turn up on the WOTC website failing that it may turn up in The Players guide to Faerun which comes out next year

10-27-03, 08:07 PM Tell your DM to ask this question on Sean's message boards, or right here in The Ask Richard Baker thread, if you still has his doubts. Bahamut is definitely in the Faerunian Pantheon, and you should be able to play a character who worships him.

10-28-03, 06:27 PM IIRC in the Races of Faerun book there are some Dragon deities listed near the end. I think that some of them are good, so you should easily be able to tweak this PrC to make you both happy.
