| silverrun206012-10-04, 03:00 PM | I am starting a new FR campaign and i need some general advice... Ive played FR for a while, and have read the setting cover to cover. the game is to be an adventure type game (as opposed to the epic plotline that me and my players are trying to avoid). The game has already begun in Cormyr the first two adventures have gone very well (just the right amount of diplomacy/combat) now the players are headed to Suzail. I have a lot of info on Suzail, but im still not really sure what to do for an adventure. the party is 3rd level... any help you can lend would be fantastic. |

There is many opertunities to get involved in the politics in the region. The kingdom is a very unstable place. Sembia is always trying to purchase or or steal land from Cormyr. Pick a big idea and narrow it down from there. NO SIG |

A misunderstanding resulting on Pc's being hunted down by PDK. A voyage to a lost Pirate Isle. Find a lost tomb of a late dark lord. Investigate rumors of the reapparition of the Purple Dragon. |

You can run adventures and simply have this plot hook in the background hinting at it and revealing clues until the players become powerful enough to Westgate and confront them directly. The 2E supplement, Four From Cormyr does a good job of taking platers from low to higher level, its a $5 PDF. It has some real neat off beat adventures I have run that went well in my game. I always tweak modules for my games though to add in homebrew stuff. I made one of the opposition parties in the module a group of adventuring dragons instead of merely mortal adventurers. Great session. How about the characters try to form their own noble house? How about the adventurers overthrow the Obarskyr Dynasty? |
