druid berrymore 04-05-04, 12:54 PM	In the the Player's Guide to the Forgotten Realms there is a page on ales and beers. I've been trying to figure out who in Shadowdale makes the Shadowdale Ale. Does anyone know?
Faraer 04-05-04, 01:07 PM	PG2's ales sidebar is taken from Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue, which says nothing more about Shadowdark Ale's ('Shadowdale Ale' in PG2 is probably then an error) origin. This illustrates (though not particularly well) why I don't like Aurora's as much as some: much of it is by non-Realms-steeped authors making stuff up that doesn't fit smoothly at all (including the Aurora's teleport-stores themselves). No brewers are established in Shadowdale-village, so any ale from Shadowdale is going to be brewed in outlying hamlets. Shadowdark is also mentioned (only) in a couple of Volo's Guides.
