The 'Liss 08-28-03, 03:42 PM	Though I can't give an exact date/period, I can say I would most likely find it around the time the movie "The Three Muskateers" (with Keifer Sutherland, and Charlie Sheen) was set in...since there are pistols being developped... That would be my biggest guess...('round Pirates of the Caribbean: The curse of the Black Pearl) too... That movie really made me want to play a Pirate too. :smirk:

Masakado 08-28-03, 05:24 PM	It depends on where you are. Sembia is roughly early Renaissance, while Cormyr and the Dalelands are quite medieval in flavor.

ElGrecoETAC 08-29-03, 03:05 AM	I would actually say a full range of ages between 700-1450 A.D. Barbarian tribes still have technology available to Vikings... Cormyr and many other kingdoms display the Germanic Gothic and French Chivalric flavors.... (full platemail, longbow- and crossbowmen, pike-wielding infantry) Sembia and Waterdeep carry a flavor/look equivalent to Renessaince Italy... The Faerunian navies fall under these years as well... Caravels, galleys, etc. Firearms are being developed, but they are nowhere near the far-more reliable quality of those made during the 1600s.
