Anyone tried the new mass combat rules for Bloodstone series? [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-27-05, 08:11 AM I'm talking specifically from the Miniatures Handbook. I'm busily converting over the Bloodstone series to 3.5 and I'm curious how things run with this new mass combat system.

I'm busily converting over the Bloodstone series to 3.5 and I'm curious how things run with this new mass combat system.I haven't, but it's a great idea. Also, you might want to check the new book "Heroes of Battle" which details heroic missions or heroic encounters you can throw at your PCs (most soldiers are low levels, which is not challenging for a high-level PC -- these special encounters are meant specifically for them, things like cutting a supply line, breaching walls, moving an army without getting detected, etc)

I also got Fields of Blood by I forget which independent company and I like that book for running realms and mass combat as well, so I am going to try to blend the rules together a bit and see what I get. If you run Bloodstone in the next few weeks let me know how it goes and what mass combat rules you use.

I'm converting it over as well. Right now I'm on H2 and just getting to the Duergar realm.
