Araevin? [Archive] - Wizards Community

I noticed that Araevin (sp?) illustrations appear in several supplements (Underdark, PGtF, Ancient empires); and also from some of his "old" companions (certain dwarf priestess).

Where can I find more info about him?, or did he just appear recently for 3rd ed?
