| Moscone08-21-05, 06:19 PM | Last night a friend at work gave me a box of Warhammer Fantasy minis (that's right-gave me ). A regiment of Empire soldiers. If you're into Warhammer Fantasy, then I'd like to know which of the armies of FR they most closely resemble and what color scheme I should go with when I paint 'em up, and please give it to me in Citadel colors. I was thinking maybe Amn, but I'm not sure. Also, while we're at it, what other armies in Warhammer F. resemble which other armies of FR? Thanks! I would have posted this on the minis page, but the posters here know FR quite well. |

But in general, alot of them do look like they could be from Amn, since the armor/clothing type does match what has been shown in the past as garb for Amn, especially from the Mazitica material. |

I would have called empire more lantan than anything due to the guns. dwarves are easy too. hope it helps. |

May this be my guide when I go in to pick up Warhammer packs in ziplock baggies in groups of 4! I certainly agree with you on how the Dark elves and Drow don't mix, but Reaper has some really cool dark elves that are very Drow. Here's what I do have for Warhammer: Bretonnian Men-at-arms Skeleton Warriors and Tomb King Guards Empire Soldiers regiment dwarves Mounted high elves orcs I'm looking to get yet more skeletons, more dwarves, more high elves, the new wood elves faction, some skaven to serve as were-rats. I'm not impressed with Warhammer's Ogres, they look like Fat B*****d from Austin Powers, and are unique to Warhammer and not FR. I'm also looking at some Lord of the Rings minis to add to my repertoire, especially that really nice Balrog...wow. nice. |

Amn is a Exotic port city and a nation of merchents, rich in culture and taste some troops could be from areas around the major city as well and may have anouther color scheme such as Liche purple with sunburst yellow or Snakebight leather with scorched brown depending on the troops you are using. In any event enjoy paining you might pick up a copy of some there rule books or just take a look to give you better ideas also www.gamesworkshop.com can also be a big help. |
