Does anyone else still use their Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue?

It was the first D&D book I ever owned, and for some reason or another I at one time owned 3 copies of it simultaneously.

The recently released Arms & Equipment Guide just did not have the same aura.

Gods yes. It is probably one of my most used sourcebooks. :) Actually a lot of the Arms and EQ guide for 3E took some of the items from Aurora's also.

Of all my 2ed books I no longer have, “Aurora’s” is the book I miss the most, I know I can get it for $5.00, but I want the hard copy book, I’m gonna hate to spend the $50.00 or so it goes for know thru the resellers. That book is almost worth it. :D

I occassionally see the book at stores that carry used RPGs.

You can always buy the ESD and then pay at Kinko's to print it out. It would be a lot cheaper then paying $50 for an original.

Thanx for the ideas, never thought about Kinkos.
The main thing is that book is great!!! So what if it had a large section on different cheeses. To me that is great stuff. It's one of the things that should be redone, reprinted in a new edition.
So many people dislike the store consept, the info within help with giving a real living world feel.

Now to find used RPG seller, and used book stores. :D

One of the best realms books ever written, period. I wish WOTC would publish more of this roleplaying fluff. It is what makes the realms, not the rules.

I'd love to see Ed Greenwood print a catalogue that would be seen in the realms, but I'm afraid that might have to be published by Valar instead.

It's great. Not only does it add a lot of flavor, it also give players a lot of leeway if they want to set up an "ops". You kow how in movies special forces units requisition stuff specially for an operation? And how high-tech thieves case a location and then decide exactly what kind of equipment they'll need to break in? You could do the same thing by buying it from Aurora's.

Aura's was a stunning book! I've been trying to track it down for a reasonable price for a about a decade now...but, I'd actually be much happier if WotC would re-do, and expand it for the current edition. I'd pre-order that as soon as it was announced!

I'm pretty sure I saw an used copy of it the last time I was at the Great Escape in Louisville, KY.

I just saw 2 for sell over on Ebay, so if you want one, go for it. 1 is still available for $1, and another for $15.

but is the 15 dollar one as good as the 50 dollar one. C'mon that would mean that somebody on ebay is out to screw... o, wait never mind.

To clear something up I think I started, it was at the places like nobleknight.com and hitpoint.com that I believe I saw the $50.00 price tag. In the long run, I think I need a paypal account for use at Ebay. Not that there is anything wrong with the other places, just money don’t grow on trees.:)
