Baldur's Gate sourcebook [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-15-05, 11:25 AM A sourcebook on Baldur's Gate would certainly be a big hit. Stats on characters (like Eldrith, Mordoc, Karne, Jherek, Argesh, Red Queen, etc) from Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga, Tales of the Sword Coast, Shadows of Ahm, Throne of Bhaal, Dark Alliance, and Dark Alliance II would certainly be cool. Updated stats on Drizzt Do'Urden and Artemis Entreri would definetely add to this awesome sourcebook. Locations in the game like the Elf Song Tavern, Purple Worm Inn, Bloodmire Manor, Firewind Manor, etc) would also be great. Additional adventure plots (like Dark Alliance III) should be included as well.

06-17-05, 10:50 AM I would love to see a source book for Baldurs Gate and the surrounding areas. My first introduction to DnD was Baldurs Gate on the PC, and my players have been praying for a Baldurs Gate specific module. It would be interesting to see how it converts to 3.5, and if they are doing a book on Waterdeep, then Baldurs Gate cannot be far behind.

It would be interesting to be able to hire the Flaming Fist (if possible), and details on the 'Dukes' and what *really* happened to Balduran.

rbrt_Spade- Baldurs Gate 3- is that really true!? Throne of Bhaal ended it, and Dark Alliance is completely different (dumbed down DnD more like gauntlet legends)

06-17-05, 04:42 PM I agree. A lot of us went through the computer games, and to turn this into a sourcebook, would be a very marketable and cool idea. It would also be very cool if they'd basically turn the series into a prewritten supermodule.

Same goes for NeverWinterNights 2, they are making it as well.

06-18-05, 07:08 AM A lot of the info in the original Baldur's Gate game came from Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast. So check that out if you want to see a sourcebook describing Baldur's Gate and vicinity, as well as information on various characters and places in the game. It's out of print now, but you can purchase it in PDF form from various places online.

I agree. I would like to see more information into Baldurs Gate, the peoples there and the like. I think they should have at least 4 CityBased Sourcebooks out. Waterdeep is the newest of course so a BG would be fun and interesting if they were to inform the surrounding regional area somewhat as well.

So, are you saying you agree with wanting a BG Sourcebook and not wanting to see Do'Urden + Gang stats? If so, I agree. Do'Urden is only in there for sales of the games just that much more, you don't see any one else from that party.

I think this is a great idea and I hope a mod or someone is reading this and has decided to foward this to someones...

06-21-05, 11:00 AM I would like to see a Baulder's Gate product, but I have a list of other areas that I would rather see first. Still, good and solid regional source books that are full of lore and not NPC stats are where I want to see the products go.

I'd buy the book instantly.

I just thought that his players would only be affected by a NDA if he was featuring some soon-to-be-released new things in his campaign (that is: things that would come out much later in the timeline, i.e. in a time when they are not playing). :)
