Best Read [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-12-05, 02:30 AM I am looking for opinions on the sourcebook that they found the most entertaining. It doesn't have to be FR specific but I figured with this being a FR forum it most likely would be. I am currently reading Races of Destiny and am finding it to be very well put together. I recently traded in all of my old Magic commons and uncommons and got about $450. I am looking to pick up a few sourcebooks. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I own:PHB 3.0, DMG 3.0, Monster Manuel 3.0, Races of Faerun, PHB Faerun, Faiths and Pantheons, FR Setting, Magic of Faerun, Races of Eberron, Races of Destiny, Complete Arcane.

09-12-05, 03:21 AM Might want to get the PHB 3.5, DMG 3.5, Monster Manual 3.5 for starters. Since all new material is in 3.5 rules.

After that ALL the Forgotten Realms books.

Underdark is good, especially if you plan on using the Underdark.

09-12-05, 05:07 AM After getting the 3.5 books Warlocko said I would probably go for Lost Empires of Faerun, it's quite a good read especially considering alot of it is fluff and history of the realms, also gives quite a few adventure seeds for each section so you can use it for your players really well. After that I would suggest Silver Marches and Underdark, I liked them alot as well.
