| Zargain09-27-06, 07:59 PM | We all know that Faerun is merely just one continuent on the world of Toril and with a little research one can discover information about Zakhara(sp?), Matzica and Kara-Tur... but there are other lands to the east and southwest shown in the map of toril. Has any information been released about these lands? If not, how have you used these lands? I'm sure there's at least a few interesting homebrew ideas pertaining to what resides in these lands. |
| Bladesong09-27-06, 10:10 PM | The lands north of Maztica are known as Anchorome but not much has been written about that. There is also the huge continent southeast if Kara-Tur but nothing has been written about that at all. |
| Derren S.09-30-06, 02:24 AM | There are some 2nd Edition materials about the other continents (in some cases whole campaign settings). |
| Cthulhudrew09-30-06, 04:34 AM | The big island to the south of Chult/southeast of Maztica/southwest of Zakhara has been described as being the original home of the Chultans (most recently in Serpent Kingdoms). Of course, their original emigration was "millenia ago" according to Races of Faerun, so who knows what the original Chultan culture has grown into since. |
| Lord Karsus10-03-06, 08:27 PM | -One of the Island-Continents to the south is Osse. That's really all we know about it, though. |
| ericlboyd10-03-06, 08:58 PM | If you read my conversion notes for Paizo's the Savage Tide (as they come out), you'll find out where I'm putting the Isle of Dread in the Realms. It corresponds to an island on the map in the FRCS, page 231. Of course, this is not "canon", but it's unlikely anything will come along to contradict it. --Eric |

What is that, a module? Please, excuse my ignorance. ;) |

The Isle of Dread is a module, X1: The Isle of Dread (http://home.flash.net/~brenfrow/dd/dd-x1.htm), released for classic (Expert set) Dungeons & Dragons back in 1981. It has most recently been reimagined as an island in the Densac Gulf, far, far to the south of Oerth, on the world of Greyhawk (in Dungeon magazine #114). It is also being incorporated into the current Savage Tide Adventure Path. |

| Renvale99910-04-06, 09:15 AM | I hope they eventually come up with what those other continents are(less work for me as a DM). I know the sole reason they don't is so people can make up their own stuff...but if I had the time I would have done that already lol. I think Sourcebooks are for us DM's who don't have time to come up with stuff and Campaign Setting books are for all the DM's that can come up everything on their own lol. |
| DarkLiChNeaZur10-05-06, 02:17 PM | can someone link that map of Toril i have a map of Fearun but not all of Toril, that would be swanky |
| Lord Karsus10-05-06, 02:53 PM | -It's on Pg. 231 of the FRCS. |
