| Gadodel11-04-03, 02:02 AM | The Guilt: Long ago, one fateful day; he fought hard to save others. He put himself at risk. It should have cost him, his life. It only earned him near immortality. He had become the abomination as the Elves had claimed and teased he really was. He tried to overcome the label...the gift. The Rage: Whenever he sees them, he opposes the dark, twisted souls of villainy. He wants the danger and the risk. He wants to die. He helped found the Harpers and other organizations subsequently, simply because of the chances of combat. He has raged against himself time and time again. He has raged against others time and time again. The gift keeps him alive. For now. The Sacrifice: He foresaw another, though greater abomination. In his dreams, he saw Bane die and return. Blackstaff saw the opponent that he had been searching for, for so long. In order to start destroying himself, he had to destroy his name and reputation. His deal with Fzoul would enhance this. By doing this, he knew that he would have a higher chance of standing alone. Though, he knew that the consequences of that final show down would be many. The true reason behind the formation of the Moonstars. Though, no one, not even the only love in his life; knows this truth. |
| Shemeska the Marauder11-04-03, 02:09 AM | So is this your speculation on future FR plots? Or something from a campaign of yours? Or is this the 'super secret info you know on upcoming realms events'? If its the last, I think we'd all like to know a source. Or else we're all inclined to believe its one of the first two options above. |
| Gadodel11-04-03, 02:19 AM | Now why would provide an answer? We all enjoy a good mystery from time to tome...er time. :smirk: |

| Wooly Rupert11-04-03, 12:04 PM | I don't see it. Since when are the Harpers and Moonstars combat-oriented groups? If all he was interested in was death, he could seek it out on his own, without taking a lot of other people down with him. For that matter, he could have sought out and killed the Magister. Then a lot of other would-be Magisters would be hunting for him, and eventually someone would manage to kill him. Your explanation also fails to explain why Laeral and Alustriel would bail on the Harpers, or why Syluné would be tweaked at Bran Skorlson for bringing charges against Khelben. |
