Campagin Starting...(hope this is the right forum) [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-27-04, 05:29 AM I'am going to be hosting a Campagin on MIRC using the Forgotten Realms Setting Soon. Which I'll be allowing up to ECL 3 on Character Races. The starting lvl is Effective Level 5. Meaning someone using an ECL 0 Race can start at Level Five, but someone playing a Drow will start at lvl 2. The Races have to be in the Races of Faerun book. I am allowing three other templates as well, Ghul, Half Ogre, and Katanes.(From Dragon Magazine).

The focus of the campagin is a new Continent has been discovered and dubbed The Broken Isle, several groups have established colonies there such as, Deepbay (water deep), Husken Port (Lusken), The Silver Arches (Silvery Moon) EverMyst (evermeet), Stone Hedge (Gold/Sheild Dwarf Colony), Qu'Ellar Delmara (Elistreea(spelled wrong..) Worshipers), New Thay (Thay obviously.) and Bombador.(Mixed Race Trading Town). The PC's job there will include combating the Bleeding Tusk Tribe, as well as ensuring the security of the colonies. Seasoned Adventurers(hence the lvl 5 start) have been hired to ensure this. You may equip your character using the Character Wealth Chart.(DMG I think) And you have recieved a Bonus of 500 Gold Coins. Core 3.0 Rules Apply. The only house rules are:

1.Specialist Wizards Can spontaniously Cast a spell of there specialized School by Scrapping a Pre Selected Spell. (Example Sam The Evoker Scraps Charm Person in favour of Burning Hands.) They must be of the same level.

2.No Death from Massive Damage.

3.No Auto-Kills.(As Per the double natural 20 rule)

4.Usage of the Critical/Fumble Chart.

5.Out of Character to another player or Disrespect to the DM (ME ha!:P) will not be tolerated at all.

The Method of Character Creation Stat wise goes as Follows:
All your stats are 10. And You have 16 Stat points to use to modify them in anyway you see fit. Racial Negatives and Penalties apply. Example: Half Orcs have an STR of 12 Before points as well as an int and cha score of 8 before points.

I hope such a post is allowed and I hope, anyone from here that wishes to take part in it have fun...

The Day(s) will more than likely be: Saturdays or Sundays. As well as an Odd Day of the Week.(Party Size Limit is 8, but I'll run different quests as people leave or show up so everyone can stick around the same level hopefully)

02-27-04, 09:07 AM Also drow are only ECL +2, so a drow character would start out as 3rd level in this campaign.

02-27-04, 09:24 AM -.-. Cut me some slack one of my irl friends was yelling about wanting ot be a Deep Gnome so I've been in ECL 3 Mode:P.

02-27-04, 10:06 AM I didn't mean to aggravate you. Just trying to help out. The gamers seeking gamers forum might be a better place for this post. So far, the campaign looks interesting.
