11-02-05, 02:10 PM Well, I believe I've come up with a decent story line (at least for the beginning of it). Part of my Wife's background is that her character sold a magical item that her dad's business was supposed to get for a specific person. Since she had no clue as to what it was, I decided it would be a lost Moonblade and the "buyer" was the blade's heir. She still doesn't know this (neither my wife nor her character), so she is trying to find the item and get it back. I have a few encounters in mind that should give her the information that she needs. But for those encounter's to happen I have to get her into the Silver Marches.

This should be fun.

Before people think that puting this item into play might be a bad thing. Here are some guidelines I've set up (Players don't know about the item yet)

The Moonblade's Heir is already decided and this is an NPC.
None of the party members are elf
Non of the PC's know much, if anything, about moonblades
If any PC tries to draw the moonblade he/she will die, as they are either not elf or not worthy

Now please give me your comments. :)

Also, if anyone here has been following my thread on the Candlekeep website, feel free to post in either/both places if you like. I will take advice where I can get it so long as it is respectfully given.

11-02-05, 08:15 PM Sounds good to me! Any plans to have the moonblade's heir have any other relatives who think they are better suited for the blade drop in on the players? I really favor the eldreth veluthra [spelling?] as long term villians and a travelling band of humans/non elves in possession of a moonblade might be something to get their dander up. Hope I helped! :)

I hadn't thought of having other family members try to claim the moonblade, interesting and a good extended plotline, though I don't know how long I want the NPC in the picture. But a good Idea.

11-03-05, 05:00 AM The eldreth veltura is a group of elves supremacists. They ambush and kill lumbers and harass people around forests or woods they think are sacred elven places. This might be a good antagonists choice

This faction is detailled in Lords of Darkness.
