Castle Spulzeer/Forgotten Terror [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-13-08, 06:36 PM I'm about to attempt to update Castle Spulzeer (and possibly Forgotten Terror) to 3.5, does anyone know anyone else who's done it, and if I might be able to peruse their versions?

01-15-08, 06:18 AM -Sorry I can't help more, but if you're going for the Ravenloft link, WotC published a 3e Ravenloft book that might be useful, if you didn't know. Return to Castle Ravenloft is what it is called, I believe.

Yeah, got that one=) Also got every single Ravenloft 2nd ed book, and most of the 3rd ed ones=)

Also, has anyone run the two adventures before?

01-15-08, 02:08 PM ya, I wanted to run this campaign but it was way out of my leage to translate the NPCs and what not.

02-13-08, 11:47 AM IIRC the reviews I read about this, and my own reading of it, the Fr part of the adventure is generally judged well (Chardath's history is quite interesting), but the RL part is a little cheesey (The large majority of the facets are fantasy instead of horror), and would need adaptation to make it better.

Spulzeer Vale is located along the left-hand side in the middle. ;)

02-13-08, 09:21 PM When I ran the adventures... I made Aggarath a floating domain in RL -- since there were already detached domains floating through the Mists. I did this because I wanted to create future adventures concentrating on Chardath and possibly having him go up against another Dark Lord. Giving him a floating domain makes this a lot easier...

The only problem with it is exactly "when" in the history of RL that you place it. With cataclysmic events like the Great Upheavel and Grand Conjuntion altering so much of the Domain of Dread... Aggarath, if it's placed before either event, will likely experience a change as well.
