| thalious10-17-03, 06:05 AM | In the South Western part of the High Forest. Drow plan to build a Catherdral to Lloth there. Unless PC's stop them. How many Drow and slaves would be present for such an operation? Feel free to post your comments or add ons to this idea. |
| Dargoth10-17-03, 06:30 AM | Well Ched Nasad has recently been blown away (See WOSQ saga) so there could be Drow refugees in the High Forest but remeber the Lolths followers cant use spells due to Lolth not answering their prays |
| Lashan10-17-03, 08:13 AM | That is, if you let the novels dictate what happens in your game. |
| Plectrum10-17-03, 08:28 AM | if you work on the assumption that they are building have about 10 slaves per drow these would be larger slaves like ogres or minataurs aswell as a few smaller slaves to do little jobs, then just tailor it to the party going against them |

| Torak Stoneweaver10-17-03, 04:03 PM | As a DM anyone has the ability to not use any or all of the history an such from the FR. I personally don't own any new paperbacks and can't really devote time to them... I prefer to use what I want from the books and go from their... Lloth is a staple for me and if I want her to grant spells then guess what... spells there wil be.. OOOOOOO I am a rebel... |

On the other hand, no-one knows what has happened to the population of Ched Nasad either. I haven't read any of the WotSQ novels so far (since I can wait till the paperbacks are out) but I find it hard to believe that the "destruction" has killed that great deal of the city's population. Simple reasoning is: everyone who knows the cavern's strands will agree that it is hardly likely to hold the 30.000 (DdUGttUD) Drow plus slaves. Thus, many people will have lived in the tunnel complexes next to the city (my assumption) and could have escaped. No word has been written about the most powerful divine caster of Lolth either, Aunrae Nasadra. Thus, the info about Ched Nasad's fall is, be all means, scrappy. As long as I don't have the outcome of the Silence and, more importantly its length within Realmspace, I leave it where it is, in the novels. Returning to the topic at hand ... it all depends on the size of the cathedral. In game terms, I would place about 50-150 Drow (all ranks and classes) near that cavern, plus as much slaves (living and undead) of the stone-craft able kind (e.g., dwarves & humans). |
| Dargoth10-19-03, 04:19 AM | The Underdark source book may answer alot of those questions and if not the PGTF has a section detailing how the WOSQ has effected the setting |
| Stormtalon10-19-03, 12:33 PM | The Underdark sourcebook entry for Ched Nasad specifically mentions the minor disaster that has befallen the city and some of the aftermath and current situation there. Stormtalon |
