Gnomish Tech starts seeing more use in the realms.(how many YEARS has smokepowder been avaliable?) 2.A leauge of elven states is formed in evermeet to dael with the lack of inter-racial unity amoung the elven bloodlines. 3.Dwarves continue makingout like Bandits and taking back more dwarven holds as the thunderblessed generation reaches adulthood. 4.Somebode does SOMTHING about the Unther, Murhandi, Thay situation. Thay has the Bright idea to TRADE w/ the Shou Empire in mass quanitys. 5. More bands of heroes rise to become houshold names as opposed to just band of adventures.(whatever happend to the old style novel about the group of mid level adventures as opposed to the one or two epic char and their friends/foes?) 6. the meta game info that wesgate is ruled by vampires finialy gets out IN Game. others later, more non-divine suggestions?
Aznar Thrul 10-28-04, 12:38 PM	give the orcs a true realm. i would like to see Obould finally create his empire called Obouldar. This way orc could be considered better than just '' low lvl critters''. I love the brutal race of orcs and i think everyone is seeing them as useless troops.

Now I am not sure because I have the book but I haven't read it and it's in my to be read stack. :)

Then I would start a Sun Elf nation somewhere with a LG/LN neutral alignment to show that the typical Sun Elf alignment is still LG, no matter what the characters in the novels are, as they are only a small subset. I would also increase the importance of all of the demihuman races (gnome, dwarf.. Well, maybe not halfling, as I hate halflings.). I would make Unther unite (as much as it could) and claim its patron deity Tiamat (not really divine politics here), and I would have Thay gain a lot of underground support there, having the Red Wizards and the Church of Tiamat ally... Maybe make the Shades and the Red Wizards ally (after all, the Red Wizards are pretty much a direct line from the Imaskari, who were Netheril's equals at one point). Yeah..
BrianCritchley 10-28-04, 03:11 PM	I figure once Alustial's tenure as high lady of the silver marches is up the other leaders are gonna start fighting over sucession. this will result in the collpase of the silver marches as each of the major member states of the confederacy war over the sucession

They're good-aligned, they're not stupid, and they would slaughter hundreds of innocent people and doom their lands to destruction by monsters if they did so. Now, if one or two were controlled by the Arcane Brotherhood... ;)
GothicDan 10-29-04, 12:46 PM	Seen this? Dawntree Nice article - good read, as is everything by Ed, from what I've seen. :) But not really the feel I was going for. I was hoping for something a bit harsher, more hard-nosed. In particular, sun elves, as opposed to Moon, who already have their queen in Evermeet. I'd like to see the Durothils ruling a kingdom, as they are, by far, my favorite elf clan. The Dawntree article seems more like it's a CG/NG-leaning organization/nation that will develop. And four Moon Elves who were born and grew up in Waterdeep really don't seem like the kind of direction I was going with my personal "wish." Maybe a reorganization and rebirth of Evereska, which has a healthy Sun Elf population, would work, but I don't see that happening after the crushing damage they took from the RotAW. Why? Just curious... I like 'em just fine, as long as they stay underground and mysterious where they belong! Because I simply think that there are too many, considering how hard it is to support large populations in small areas in the Underdark, and how perilous their society is. I would much rather see the Illithids rise to more prominence - they've always been my favorite Underdark race. But I do agree. They should stay underground and mysterious. Why the heck would they want to take over the surface world when they still have an infinite Underdark to explore and take over, on their front doorstep? When they launch raids above, they leave themselves wide open below... But I guess that's what happens when you have such an extremely chaotic race, eh?
