Looking for info on updating CotSQ to 3.5, specifically tactics (which I could work out myself but would be wonderful if there were an official update). Already searched the boards and found nothing save monster updates (which are helpful, but not what I need). Any ideas anyone?

I'm looking to run my players through that one as well, I haven't started doing any conversions as of yet, but I'm also looking around for some. If I find anything I'll let you know.

One of the biggest issues that I am having with converting the tactics of CotSQ is the haste then blast tactic (which I think is a rather weak tactic anyway). How would I best adjust this I wonder...thoughts?

I've used the new to 3.5 no-Save Waves of Fatigue and Exhastion spells with pretty devastating effect on my party.

Also, look to the various FR Sourcebooks like the Player's Guide to Faerūn, Underdark and Unaproachable East for a variety of Necromantic Spells that benefit hugely when cast in the area of the Weave Disruption.

Lastly, regular staples like Harm, Vampiric Touch, False Life and Ray of Enfeeblement all get a boost within the Weave Disruption.

Perhaps my favorite Feat to use in CotSQ is the Transdimensional Spell Feat, which allows various of Maerimydra's Castle Defenders to go Ethereal and attack the PCs on the Material Plane.

Also, Silveraiths make no noise, so Silent Spell coupled with Improved Invisibility makes getting the drop on the PCs quite easy.

Hope this helps.

Lesser rods of quickening can replace haste to some extent. At 37k or so however, you should use them with the high level casters only. The lower levels will have to change tactics. All the no save spells like the fatigue ones are good ones to use.
