I'm running a game tomorrow but since some players can't attend I've decided to throw in some fillers before the campaign continues. They are currently in Daggerford so I wanted to throw in some short in-city scenarios, but I'm having a hard time finding something to use and not enough time to work it out myself. Does anyone have a few good ideas, or a link to something I could use?

If it's just going to be filler before the main campaign continues, use small events. You could solve a murder. You could have one of your characters thrown in jail and the others break him out or prove his innocence. You could repel a small raid. Something along those lines might be interesting.

The DMG 3.5 has a table somewhere regarding city adventures and what can happen in a city. You only have to rool the dice and see what kind of minor thing happen. Start from one of those things to construct something bigger.

Exemple: The party discovers a body while passing in a shadowy alley... make it so it's a shopkeeper they dealt with beforehand. Have this connecting to a series of murders.

One of the party member is taken for someone else by thugs... They try to beat the crap out of him claiming he has debts and will not pay etc. Then the real guy that has the debts shows up and ask for help regarding this.

Just improvise something short like this and you'll get a nice game and your players won't really notice it's filler.

Perhaps Tarus's Banquet may work.

There are many there, take a look. :)
