| Magnificat01-23-04, 07:04 PM | Hi! While reading "Faith & Pantheons" (actually translating it into Italian!) I realised that clerics of Angharradh are often reffered to as women. Though this seems to me most natural, I was wondering whether only women could become clerics of that deity. Consequently, also Aerdrie Faenya's, Hanali Celanil's and Sehanine Moonbow's clerics should also be women. Is that true? This is a rather an important issue because the word "cleric" in Italian doesn't have a "neutral" form but requires to specify wheter male or female. Thus, I cannot write "chierici" (which means, male clerics" instead of "chieriche" (which means female clerics) which would be the right translations. Thanks! |

I think clerics of female deities are often refered to as "she", and clerics of male deities as "he", but this doesn´t have any real influence on their clergy. |

Demihuman Deities Aerdrie: About 59% of Aerdrie's clergy members are female and the rest are male. Angharradh: Is pretty much evenly split between male (48%) and female (52%) Hanali: same as Angharradh but male (46%) and female (54%) Sehanine: Same but male (48%) and female (52%) |
