| canibus03-10-04, 02:22 PM | On page 161 of the book "Underdark" in the section about Menzoberanzan, it states those characters in the important character list: -Gromph (Currently Missing) -Jarlaxle (Leader of Bregan Daerthe) -Dyrr (Real power behind House Dyrr) I know what happened to Gromph and Dyrr, but last time I checked Jarlaxle should not be in Menzo considering Kimmuriel is now the Bregan Daerthe Leader eversince "The Crystal Shard". So I'd like to have some clarifications on this statement in "Underdark". If I missed Jarlaxle's comeback to the underdark I'd like it if someone could point me to when it happened. Thanks. |

Bregan Daerthe kinda showed up, Valas is a Bregan Daerthe Mercenary after all. |

Jarlaxle is probably there but is intentionally not mentioned because no doubt R.A. is doing a story to conclude his events on the surface with Artemis Entreri and doesn't want the WotSQ writers to 'F' him up just like they do about everything else. There are plenty of things in the WotSQ series that make no sense and are terrible continuity blunders as well. Ergo - it is just as well that they not butcher his character as well. Just because it hasn't been written doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Take for instance that the Icewind Dale trilogy was written BEFORE the Dark Elf trilogy. Introducing some nice continuity blunders as well if you poke around in the IWDT and compare to the DET |
