Converting 3.0 FRCS to 3.5 [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-17-07, 10:08 PM Just recently (today actually) I managed to buy a used copy of the 3.0 FRCS. Now, the problem is, I never played a 3.0 game, only 3.5. I heard from some people that the book would be used exactly like a 3.5 rulebook. Is this true, or would I need to make some modifications (to make the book work in a 3.5 setting).

06-18-07, 08:20 AM -It's all a scam to get more of your money. What few differences there are between 3e and 3.5e can easily be resolved by a quick, on-the-spot DM ruling when conflict between the two versions arises.

06-18-07, 09:09 AM -Well, they are both are the same edition. What did you expect? Third Edition is like the "Beta Version", if you will.

06-18-07, 10:30 AM The Players Guide to Faerun (PGtF) provides some 3.5 updates and revamp of the region-based system.

06-21-07, 04:53 PM I think that the FRSC does need an updated version. It's been out for a while and I think that updating the rules in the campaign book to those in the Player's Guide would eliminate some of the confusion for new players.
