Just hoping to get a general run-down of the laws of Cormyr and perhaps penalties for committing crime. If there is any source material for this I would be happy to know about it. If not I'm open for any and all suggestions.

The Cormyr Sourcebook has a few pages on this.

Commoners bow to royalty. Dont kill cats because they are sacred. Adventurers have to get a charter, if they want to walk around with weapons that are not peace tied.

Another GREAT sourcebook is the 2e book, Volos Guide to Cormyr... It is more or less a must to run a good campaign in Cormyr, since it really gives a great insight into both Cormyrian laws, behaviour, cultur and alot of special sites in Cormyr..

All wizards and sorcerers above 5th level have to register with the crown and ahve a meeting with Caladenei if they plan on adventuring in Cormyr. If they dont register within a tenday of their arrival in Cormyr, they get a 500gp fine. If they dont register within two tendays, they get a visit from the War Wizards. Dugeon #88 has a big page long thing on laws for adventuring in Cormyr. You can but a back issue for $10 at www.paizo.com (http://www.paizo.com/backissues.shtml) .
