| Eltargrim10-21-05, 09:28 PM | I have been looking on materials for rules and laws in Cormyr. The most just country in Faerûn. Can anybody help me out here? Some basics about the court system would be nice. Maybe some basic Laws in case of murder, kidnaping, steeling and so on. If not about Cormyrian do any one have some Law system they use in diferent countries of FR please post them to. |
| Kuje3110-21-05, 09:44 PM | There's not much but the 1e and 2e campaign box sets have some. The Cormyr sourcebook and Volo's Guide has some as well. |
| Old Sage10-21-05, 11:08 PM | Additionally, provided an NDA does not bar the path of the Old Bearded One... you might trying pinging Ed over at Candlekeep. He might be able to drop the odd tidbit or three... I can do it for you if you wish. |
| Eltargrim10-22-05, 05:09 AM | Thanks guys. Old Sage I would realy apraciate if you could ask the question at Candelkeep. I have read The Cormyr sourcebook and Volo's guide but I still would love some more inforamtion about it. |
| Old Sage10-22-05, 05:45 AM | Old Sage I would realy apraciate if you could ask the question at Candelkeep.Right then, I'll pose the question to Ed and see what he can say about it. Be warned however that it might be quite a while between replies... as Ed has a considerable backlog of questions to get through first. Regardless, I'll post the answer here when Ed gets to it ;). |
| Old Sage10-22-05, 11:51 AM | THO has this to say - "Sage, I know one of the answers Ed is about to send me is about the laws of Secomber, for Verghityax. It was delayed because Ed had to do the laws of Crimmor for his recent DRAGON article. Comparing those two with the laws of Waterdeep (that Ed expanded for the 2nd Edition City of Splendors boxed set) should give a DM something to work with. For now. And that’s all I can say. For now (hint hint)." I'll post Ed's reply to Verghityax here once it's sent, so you can use it as a reference like THO suggests. Ed's Crimmor work-up can be found in the August issue of DRAGON -- #334. |
| Eltargrim10-22-05, 05:55 PM | Thank you so much, this will help a lot. Nice to know there are some realy good guys out there like your self, Old Sage |
| imrtl10-22-05, 08:06 PM | Maybe this is a silly question. But if your the DM and you want to fill out the laws more, why do nt you just make up your own? Afterall this game is built on imagination and creativity. |

| BrianCritchley10-27-05, 10:33 PM | the big question is, does corymr use common law or civil law |
