I've been reading some threads that were discussing how ideas from one setting were used in other settings. Those threads degenerated into name calling and accusations of plagiarism. So I decided to start this one. It's purpose is to present useful ideas from other settings(even home grown ones)and discuss how to apply them to the realms.PLEASE.USEFUL DISCUSSION ONLY!!!!!
I know this can be hard sometimes but(I went a little to far in another thread)we are supposed to be creative people. So lets get creative.

The old, REALLY old, T1, The Village of Hommlet fits perfectly in the Dales. 16 pages of close type and spare artwork. There's more text here than in the newer 32 page adventures.

Best of all, 12 pages are pure fluff! there no less than 20 entrys (with at least one long paragraph ot text each) with descriptors like farm, cottage, house, cottage...

About 50 named NPCs and lots more with no names but something personal said about them. Like: "The farmer..., if politely asked, will state they are of druidical persuasion"

It's a backwater farming community on a crossroads. There is a minor subplot about the nearby evil having spies in town (perfect Zhent agents). Make the temple of Cuthburt a temple of Torm, and you have a nice little community of 100 plus souls detailed out to a level approached only by Shadowdale in the realms.

This is the actual modlue T1, i don't know how much of it survived in the T1-4 supermodule.
