Current Events in the Realms? (I think Spoilers are likely) [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-24-07, 10:26 AM I am looking for either a site with a listing of all current/ongoing events up through... uh... whatever year Expedition to Undermountain is set. (Book at home)

I know there is a Civil War Thay (I think), however - what else is going on?

Please let me know what is going on in the Realms! Include novels, adventures and the like.

07-24-07, 02:58 PM Just try "Forgotten realms timeline" or "Forgotten Realms chronology" or "Forgotten Realms history" in a search engine !
You could even change "Forgotten Realms" by " Faerūn" or "Toril"

Then find the year of the expedition in the timeline.

No ? It wouldn't work ?

07-25-07, 07:38 AM Yeah I tried that and most of the timelines seem to stop around 5~10 years before the adventure begins.

None of them include any actual "current" events, like from what I have read the Civil War in Thay or anything else that is actually relevant.

Elves are re-taking Comanthyr, Tilverton got blowded up by Shade, Evereska went to war with the Phaerim, There is a new nation callem Yamunnahar in the Endless Wastes, The seals in deep Imaskar are allowing the old Imaskari to re-surface, Larloch scratched his @ss, Halister got his soul rendered or some-such idiocy, and Khelben died while bringing back a Dark Elf city...

Probably of heartbreak when he realized their actually were NO dark Elves in it... :rolleyes:

I'm sure there's more - a war in Halrua I think, the Shining Lands making a play for Maztica, Azoun's Grandson went potty, etc...

07-28-07, 11:02 AM Also, Major famine in Sebia, due to the rain of fire, and dragon raids. Sembia it's self is on the brink of civil war. I also believe that;Gareth Dragonsbane is further cementing his hold on Vassa, and will one day soon combine the two countries into the kingdom of The Bloodstone Lands.Plus whatever sillyness is going on in Shadowdale.
