Current History of the Realms [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-22-07, 12:14 AM Ok so I need to do a little reading up on the history of the realms, stuff before the "Times of Troubles", more like the falling of the floating cities and the destruction of Mith Dranor(sp?). According to the DM the time is around 3519...not even sure I got that much right....

Anyway just need some general info about the time, citing sources for this information would be greatly appreciated.(preferably anything online as I no longer have any material from that time)

08-22-07, 01:12 AM I suggest you download the Netheril: Empire of Magic boxed set and Cormanthyr: Empire of Elves/Fall of Myth Drannor as free PDFs (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads) here at WotC.

Investing in a copy of Lost Empires of Faerūn will prove useful as well. And, I'd also suggest you pick up a copy of the comprehensive Grand History of the Realms tome which releases next month -- since it features new Realmslore on both Myth Drannor and Netheril, as well as a selection of other historical periods in the Realms. Also featured are extensive timelines focusing specifically on Realms history.

And, I'd also suggest you pick up a copy of the comprehensive Grand History of the Realms tome which releases next month -- since it features new Realmslore on both Myth Drannor and Netheril, as well as a selection of other historical periods in the Realms.
