| BrianCritchley01-25-05, 11:19 PM | campaign of drow? first thing to do is make sure there's someone even TOUGHER then they are forcing em to work together. |
| Dark Ashaman01-26-05, 01:23 AM | Of course But back to the original question... |
| Draco Strang01-26-05, 02:03 AM | Well, City of the Spider queen isn't too bad, however you'll have to get creative as to the reason they get into the quest, because it's designed for surface dwellers that Randal Morn of Daggerdale commissions to check it out, and they just get pulled into something huge all of a sudden. Instead of the beginning encounter, you could design something for the drow that belong to another city, or even make them surface drow (of Ellistrae or maybe House Auzkovyn) that are sent to investigate. Be forewearned, it is a TOUGH campaign. Also, it's in 3.0, so you'd have to do a few conversions for the monsters, but there is a thread here all about that, already doing a good job of it for you. That's the best one I can think of offhand. |

The way I did my Drow Campaign, was have everyone be from the Same House. Ranked down in the Teens/Twenties (can't recall which for sure) that had very strong merchantile interests. Everyone was a minor noble (i.e. Grandchildren or lower of the Matron). From there I let the player's decide the pecking order. Surprisingly (NOT!) everyone was a Female: 1 Rogue (LE), 1 Cleric (CE), 1 Ranger/Rogue (CN), 1 Fighter (CE), 1 NPC (Cleric/Ranger/Variant Paladin, CE); the party deferred to the Cleric as the leader, and the Cleric kept trying to defer to the NPC (because the NPC was older by a few years, Cleric and NPC were Grandkids, while everyone else was Great Grandkids). They were under orders not to weaken the house with due cause (i.e. player-killing would be punished, unless it was justified, like someone becoming a burden to the House). I started the group off with doing patrons, escort duty, and some investigation (i.e. House Merchants found something interesting, PCs sent out to investigate). As to Adventures, some Adventures can be readily adapted, especially ones that deal with mines, or underground ruins (dwarven and the like). |
