| Skiriki06-22-06, 12:34 PM | Let me preface this post with a stroll along the memory lane: My very first contact to D&D was in form of SSI's AD&D game, "Pool of Radiance" for Amiga 500. This game featured heroes from Phlan, working against menaces of evil; Zhents, Castle Valjevo, the strange pyramid... The game kept me enthralled for countless hours. As a computer game, it was quite all right (if you're like me, and enjoy hack-and-slashing your way through computer opponents and don't mind the plot THAT much), and spawned a slew of other games: Curse of the Azure Bonds, Secret of the Silver Blades, Pools of Darkness. Moonsea, you could say, was the very first contact I had to this fantastic hobby, and then there was no return when I found out the joy of tabletop games. I have quite a lot of 1st edition and 2nd edition material available for FR. So, when I heard that there's gonna be a 3e sourcebook for Moonsea, I was thrilled; right now I'm running a campaign in that very region! Woo! I could get more details about places like Phlan, Elventree, Yűlash, The Ride... Wait, I didn't. I got my book via mail today, and I just finished reading it. I'm seriously disappointed. :( Focus is almost completely on four EVIL cities, and there's very little information if any regarding other areas -- right now the only usable bit for my campaign in that book is going to be Mulmaster. Please, PLEASE, WotC -- don't do this again. :( I was seriously looking forward for information regarding the area, not adventures; evil cities just don't "do it" when I want to run a campaign MY style -- there's so much more to that area other than wickedness. :raincloud  :weep: |
