JPDeed 07-09-07, 05:58 AM	I am DMing a well developed average 18th level party in Faerun - And I have designed a pathway to epic levels. Standing in the way of this goal (yet not the apex) I have designed a deep imaskari transmuter 15/Master of the Unseen Hand 5 BBEG. A lot of promise there, but there are a couple of questions i am unsure about: 1) Telekinesis - is it negated by freedom of movement? I am presuming it isn't.. 2) The feat arcane thesis and the feat practiced spellcaster. Focusing purely on the spell telekinesis, this PrC adds it levels to spellcasting levels of that spell alone - (so this NPC casts telekinesis as a 20th level wizard). However, will this overlap or stack with the +4 CL of practiced spellcaster, and the +2 CL of arcane thesis? Normally, this wouldnt be too important, but because this PrC uses caster level as attack bonus, it could skyrocket. Cheers in advance.
dragonheart 07-12-07, 08:19 AM	1. No the telekinesis is not negated by freedom of movement. Freedom of movement acts to keep restraints from affecting the subject but not to preven t things like knockback or falling damage or grapples. So you can toss them around all you want but if you try to hold them in one place then the freedom of movement may take over an allow them to step past - then again it may not it doesn't allow you to step through a wall of force or physical objects. 2. I believe that all the caster level bonuses stack so the BBEG is 20th level, casts most spells as a 26th level caster adn casts telekinesis as a 28th level caster - very nasty!:eek:
