Dire wood? Karse? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-12-07, 03:17 PM Okay, so my PCs will be heading into the high forest to pay a visit to the ice lich from Champions of Ruin, who is locked in the Dire Woods. Now, I'm not a 100% expert on faerun, and I saw mention that the dire woods is synonymous with Karse. Is this true? Do I need to know about Karse if I intend to use the Dire Woods? I dont really have access to 2ed materials.
