Mutablegenus 03-06-04, 03:46 PM	I have a bit of a dilemma, i'm not a very experienced DM and usaually i just play not DM, heres what happened so far They got a job to exterminate kobolds and an orge from a nearby cave, while in the cave, they caused an avalanche which in turn blocked there exit. However they was a switch they pulled that planeshifted they to another plane. I pretty much ended the game right there but heres what they saw: An epic battle [they're currently on a mountain top 500 feet above the battle] it's a battle (somewhat small) in the blood war [demons vs. devils] theres only four regiments[on each team] and a couple drakes and a couple of generals on each force.. So we ended there. My orginal reason for doing this was to let them gain lvls really fast by being in the abyss, but their plane has not been annouced yet.. so it could still be anything.. but i'm thinking of putting it in an area near waterdeep, and the battle is an artifact effect that is an illusion artifact that is being manifested to create fear, for an outsider to collect gold , but i don't know what to do, should i make it in the abyss or in Faerun and where can i find lots of information of waterdeep? ~thanks in advance ~Duff
Cunning Linguist 03-06-04, 03:54 PM	holy craperoly! From Kobolds to Balors in one day? Next session, let them get run for there lives, all the time.. let them gets lots of wounds, and with a few hp left, gain access to a portal back to Faerun. Put them back in waterdeep if thats what it takes, but don't try to level them up fast with Bloodwar troops, just cuz Kobolts does not give them the xp they need to level. Info on Waterdeep can be found in Waterdeep: City of Splendor 2.ed box set, and Waterdeep and the North, 1.ed book. There is a Waterdeep book comming out next year for 3.5.
