I'm about to start a new game set in Faerun and i was thinking about doing a campaign to do with the slaver's in Calimport. i started my PC of a about 3rd to 5th level and think that putting them straight into a campaign would be good.

At the moment the campaign is just in the early stages, i was thinking that the PC get kidnapped by a group of thieves in Calimport and sold as slaves to a group of Orc Slaver's, but on the way to be sold Nelanther Isles the ship that the PC's are on gets caught in a big storm and they get shipwrecked, and have to escape and kill the orc captain who is drunk on the beach coz he thinks he's gonna die.

At some point during this the PC's find that a ship has come to investigate the ship wreck. Although this ship is actually manned by a goup of pirates from the Pirate Isles who have secretly been setting up a base of operations on the island and have been raiding the Nelanther Pirates ships.

Which coinsidently one of the ships which was raided contained the PC's equipment because they where stripped down to their hose.

Thats all i got at the moment i was hoping that i could get some help on this forum.

The best way to get the PCs on the pirate ship is going to have to take help. Possible aid could come from aquatic elves, merfolk, or other good aligned aquatic races.
It could also come from a Harper agent or other spy that has infiltated the Pirate Isle group. This could lead to further adventure as the Harper asks the party to complete a mission from him for having aided them in getting their equipment back.:schemes:

You should try posting this on the "What's a DM To Do" board. You will probably get more replies and ideas from other DMs.

Can you tell me what the pc's class, alignment is.
also how large is this pirate ship, how many pirates are on it.

But a way you could have is that they board the ship as "friends" (disguise and stuff) and serve under the captain until they can get their stuff, sabatoge the ship (for fun) and escape on a rowboat.
