Hi there, I'm DMing a game currently situated in the Dalelands with five players currently at level 3. I have a war brewing in the backgorund between Cormyr and Sembia and my PC's want to get involved when/if it were to start, now I'm not that experienced as a DM so I have NO FREAKIN IDEA how to orchestrate a Dnd war.. help?? please???

Er, went off on tangent there, the war isn't gonna be the pivotal plot in my game.. It is set in 1472DR, the year of wild magic and as such I wanted the central concern to deal with this..

I had two pricinpal ideas, tell me what you think or any suggestions you might have..

1) The shades/phaearimm would war over Anauroch, the use of a recovered Mythallar would prove instrumental in cuasing widespread damage to the weave.
2) The followers of Shar would gain the power of a Mythallar and in accpmpaniment with the Shades proceed to turn elven mythals to the shadow weave, dealing a crippling blow to Mystra allowing Shar to gain some manner of her portfolio and many areas of wild magic are caused from the damage to Mystra..

any ideas are welcome..

I don't know.. how could shadow users damage the normal weave? Why would the shades use old mythallars when they can make there own..

Making Elven mythals evil.. now thats a good idea..

Shar worshipers getting there hands on Mythaller teck.. I like that idea.

My theory about it was that the city of shade returned simply because the Mythallar that powered their city finally died after the years, and that a Mythallar would be discovered by my PC's and a series of adventures would ensue.. I had no idea that the SHades could simply "make" mythallars.. ouch..

But yeah, the corruption of mythals would be a way for the shadow-users to bring corruption to the weave, at least thats where I was going with that idea..

Thanks for the feedback tho Cunning Linguist... is that a special nighttime talent or the polyglot feat? hehe
