As a 3.5E Forgotten Realms DM I'm now pondering over whether I really need to buy the PGTF. I have the 3E FR campaign setting. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I'm tight, I just loathe paying for things twice.

The real question is, will it have a positive impact on my game or will it be another book on the shelf?

Sorry, but it has been discussed MANY times.

From what I gathered, it is mainly 3.5e rules-intensive book with brand-new material to be added to (or complement with) what's already in the FRCS and other 3e FR products.

IOW, for 3.5e rules, FRCS and PGtF are companion books. The PG does not entirely replace FRCS, only the rules.

I couldn't help but take offence at your opening statement. I hope you're not a teacher. Just because a question has been asked before, it doesn't make it an invalid question. I really was hoping for a sensible answer to my question which was driving at the balance between economy and necessity.

I didn't ask the question flippantly. And I haven't seen any previous discussions on the issue. Furthermore you haven't really answered my question have you? You responded emotionally to it? I could go on...

Thank you Dargoth. Much appreciated.

You see RangerREG? Rather that illustrating oh how sickening it is to hear the same question again and again, Dargoth pointed me in the right direction to find out the answers for myself.

The updated PrC's and spells makes the book well worth it. The information on psionics and epic levels in Faerun is nice also. The regions and redone regional feats is cool too. It also has updated info to follow a couple book series'. I personally find it worth it.

But it has been discussed many times. You could use the messageboards' search engine to find those conversations, and not just in this forum but other D&D forums as well.

I make no apology about my earlier post. I have given you the answers you need.
