People love misusing Rich's thread for offtopic discussions. I am guilty of this at one point as well. Well here is a thread for topics that begin on Rich's thread but have no place there. Bring you clutter and random thoughts here and let Rich just answer questions.:D

I already started another one for the Death and Dying discussion, so this is redundant... stop cluttering up the boards with redundant threads. :P

How are any of us supposed to learn anything substantial about 4th edition, when people like you keep creating random threads just to rant? :ahem:

;) :D

Dear mister Baker,

if each year a new players handbook will appear with new "core" races, and all "core" races are supposed to have a place in the new Realms, does this mean:
A) That there will be a lot of references in the 4th edition Realms to races of which there are no mechanics yet? (Since they appear only in a later PHB)
B) That every time a new PHB appears with core races, another few core races get suddenly added into the Realms? B1) As if they've always been there. B2) As new arrivals.

Hah! That'll teach you cluttering up the questions thread! Now I've cluttered up your clutter thread with a question!

mmm.... well we will just have to start another thread for questions for R. Baker so we don't clutter up the clutter thread with question for R. Baker....*sigh*

So funny that I'll bite.

A) There are a few mentions of some of the obvious ones (gnomes, half-orcs, goliaths), but we don't really dwell on them because we know that the rules on those guys are a ways off. We don't want to sell them as playing a very big role in the setting and then not give you the tools to play them.

B) Most likely the "always been there" approach. New arrivals is something we can only pull off once in a while, I think.

How about optional 'if you use... maybe you could' lines, like Eberron books and something?

*Sigh* Now we need a thread for Richard Baker's answears....so those don't clutter up the threads for questions for R. Baker and co., or the don't clutter up the etc. etc. threads.

I can see this become endless.

THREAD CLUTTER MUST BE STOPPED!!!!

Well, there does seem to be far less clutter here then on the official thread, so its only fair that Rich clutters up the clutter thread with answers, since we are always cluttering up the answer thread.

Or is he 'answering up' the question thread?

I'm SO confused now...

Question:
Rich, which is the official headache-reliever of the WotC design team? Tylenol, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin?

-Indeed, it must.

Question:
Rich, which is the official headache-reliever of the WotC design team? Tylenol, Ibuprofen, or Aspirin?

-A cocktail of all three, mixed with liberal amounts of scotch.

I didn't expect to see a reply. Thanks I guess. :D

Maybe we can stick to questions about clutter in this thread?
In particular questions about clutter cluttering up questions-threads.

Daenaan has convinced me...

I will never, EVER try to be helpful to someone on these boards again - its obviously rude to try and answer someone's question, so I'll just ignore all questions from now on.

This thread has turned into "Hey Rich, can you say something... ANYthing... so we can turn around and attack you for it?"

"Oh, and why did you kill Mystra, and Helm, and the Dwarven Gods, and change Toril, and create another edition, and what about NPC XYZ? Does he/she live?"

Guess what? Mystra, Helm, the Dwarven Gods, Ao, and even NPC XYZ were never alive to begin with! They didn't kill anyone! Why did they nuke the Realms? Because the CAN! Why did they create a new edition? Because, for some totally unfathomable reason, they like money (go figure).

I think I finally starting hating all of the 4e discussion WAY more then 4e FR. :bored:

As long as they get rid of the Shadoweave, I don't care what else they get rid of.

Oh brother, I've been there for like 2 months now?
It's insane the way people post a question with the whole intent to whine
