| Lordornas09-08-06, 04:14 AM | Hi Guys i was having a little Argument with my Group last weekend over the Dragon Disciple Prestige Class stated in DungeonMaster I. According to the Book at Lvl10 he gets the Dragon Apotheosis and tough the Half Dragon Template. My question now is: Does he also get the Level Adjustment of +3 or not? Since he put 10 Lvls of Prestige Class in it my Group said No, but i were going after the DMI and for me that includes the +3 LA.Thats why i am here, maybe someone of you guys/girls could help me out there. BTW: I hate the Level Adjustmens and i personnaly think they are not for Player to be aqquired. |

He slowly gets the traits of the Half-Dragon template over ten levels, combined with HD, skills, saves, BAB, and some spell progression. Ten levels. No, you don't add a +3 LA. What the hell is wrong with you? It's a weak enough as a TEN level class as-is. BTW: I hate the Level Adjustmens and i personnaly think they are not for Player to be aqquired. Well, good for you. You're wrong. [Edit: Sweet Selvetarm, I'm *****y tonight. Fire alarm'll do that to you, I guess.] |

He slowly over the course of the 10 levels gains the trait of a half dragon at the expense of other abilities, such as spellcasting. Sure, they learn some new spells as they go but it's nothing compared to what he'd have if those 10 levels of Disciple were sorcerer. If you were looking for something rules specific, I'd just go with what it says in the book. It makes no mention of him gaining a level adjustment, therefore just assume no. After all, a Monk at level 20 who becomes an outsider doesn't get a level adjustment. |
