Are Shadow dragons, or any dragon for that matter, immune to critical hits? Can they be sneak attacked?

and,

Does a dragon have to roll over spell resistance with its breath weapon? If so what does it use as it's caster level, it's total HD?

Thanks

Actually I know Shadow dragons cannot be sneak attacked, due to their shadow blend, but what if they are subject to a daylight spell, and have not cast blur? Are dragons immune to sneak attacks in general, even young to mature adult ?

Nothing in the description of dragons indicates that they are immune to either critical hits nor sneak attacks, so you can safely assume that both applies to dragons in general.

Breath weapon is a supernatural (su) ability, and according to the description of the spell resistance ability: Only spells and spell-like abilities are subject to spell resistance. Extraordinary and supernatural abilities (including enhancement bonuses on magic weapons) are not. this does not apply to breath weapons.

Yeah, that is what I thought, but they do need some discernible form of anatomy for a SA, and the shadow dragon's shadow blend, or a blur spell would cover that, I would imagine that for dragons of sizes larger than huge, would not be susceptible to a small or medium sized creature. I am sure I read that somewhere...

Thanks for the SR help tho, my PC's were about to lynch me when I denied them their SR and they gained 4 negative lvls to the shadow dragon....so far...

You can't sneak attack when you have a miss chance from any form of concealment and with all the Shadow abilities of the dragon that is very likely.

Also a Gem of Heavy Fortification is very cheap....
