BadCatMan 08-30-07, 08:16 AM	I was going through the Dragons Of Faerun first web enhancement, the one that includes the list of all named dragons in the Realms, when I noticed an odd reference in the Source column - (upcoming product). The Source column isn't listed in in the actual book. And no others references accompany the (upcoming product), so they are likely new dragons. So now I'm intensely curious: what is this mysterious upcoming product(s)? Since DoF we've only had the Twilight Tomb, Expedition To Undermountain and the Cormyr/Shadowdale/Anauroch adventures. Of these, they either don't include the dragons (the ones I can check anyway), or I don't expect them to. The only remaining possibility is Grand History and the 4e CS. Or something well past these. Or it's in the novels, which I don't read enough of. Here are the mystery dragons (the list is freely available): Name, "Nickname", CR, Status, Gender, Class, Age, Kind, Lair/Domain, Details/Fate, Dizmallorthan, "Shimmerwing", —, Dead, Male, old, copper, Dragonjaw Mountains, Slain by Ouranalathra Klithalrundrar, "The Flamemaw", —, Dead, Male, mature, adult, red, Unknown, Slain by Ouranalathra Naroun, "Great White Ghost", —, Dead, Male, wyrm, white, Unknown Shalamalauth, —, Dead, Male, adult, mist, Starmantle Bay, Mate of Ouranalathra Theslacramillos, —, Dead, Male, wyrm, green, Island off the coast of Altumbel, Slain by Ouranalathra Urshula, 21, Dracolich, Male, very old, black, Vaasa Ouranalathra is mentioned in more detail in DoF. She's a mist dragon involved in a large battle with several other dragons in 231 DR, Year Of The Mist Dragon. This is old history, so I suspect this event is covered in more detail in Grand History Of The Realms. I suspect the others will be too.
Krash 08-30-07, 05:38 PM	Actually, those references relate to a write-up I did of the dragon Ouranalathra, "the Mistmaiden". Given how it's a "Wyrms of the North"-type piece, I think I'll pitch it to the new online Dragon. Thanks for reminding me about it! -- George Krashos
BadCatMan 08-30-07, 08:42 PM	Oh goody! Does it have anything to say about the Iron Dragon Mountain temple of Deneir in the Earthfast Mountains of the Vast? It used to be Ouranalathra's lair, IIRC. I've got some PCs chasing after a mysterious 'iron dragon'... :D
