SilasleCake 09-28-05, 02:15 PM	I recently read the moonshae trilogy, which got me into playing in the FR campaign setting. I want to read some more books set in Faerun, but I am not sure where to start. I thought maybe a Drizzt book would be good, but there are so many of them, so I don't know which comes first. What is the order of the Drizzt books, and what other FR books are worth reading?
Hutchimus Prime 09-28-05, 02:59 PM	If you're going to start with a Drizzt book then you should either start with Homeland, the first Drizzt book chronlogically or the Crystal Shard, the first published book starring Drizzt. Personally I'd start with the original Avatar trilogy and then go from there based on your interests in the Realms. That's how I got started anyway.
Yom Beekus 09-28-05, 03:47 PM	That's how I got hooked all those years ago. My first read was the Moonshae trilogy. I then moved on to the Avatar trilogy. The rest, as they say, is history! btw...I didn't read a Drizzt book until many years later.

Herr Doktor 09-28-05, 05:29 PM	My first Realms novel was Elminster: the Making of a Mage. So that'd be my recommendation for your next read.
