Also, right before his first battle with Errtu(That would be The Crystal Shard), he made a weak attempt at a summoning circle? That's about as far as his magical prowess goes I believe... |

BT On the Ice Floes when he "befriends" a seal and trains it to dive into the water and retrieve things. Not specifically stated as a spell but it certainly is hard to explain without thinking Animal Friendship or something similar. |
