Drow in Cormyr [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-03-07, 05:48 AM ok. I know Myth Drannor was retaken by the elves. Now what is gonna happen to the drow in Cormyr? I don't see the elves and them living together peacefully. So where they gonna end up? I think the clan that was actually in Myth Dranor will end up going back to the undark for a short time. And the other Clan (wish I hadn't had to pack up my Forgotten realms book because I'm moving) that live lives similar to Wood will end up going back to the High forest since thats where they came from before.

You refer to the drow in Cormanthor, don't you? Well, they have been highlighted in the FRCS and Lords of Darkness, yet only saw little detailed mentioning anywhere else. They make appearances in War of the Spider Queen, as well as in the Last Mythal series. Mostly marginally though. Obviously, the elves return in full to Cormanthor only by 1380 and who knows (well, the Wizards) what happens inbetween.
Lady Penitent I gives us another glimpse of the drow in Cormanthor, yet again, we have to wait and see what transpires over the next two books. For the time being, not much has changed. Remember that Cormanthor is quite large and the drow not that many. They will have their hideouts and strongholds.

06-03-07, 06:56 AM True but wasn't there a small drow surface kingdom that was near Calshmite. (I spelt it wrong where Artemis toke Regis to) called Tir something. That wasn't ever part of any elven kingdom or ruins, and the drow where actually getting along with their neighbors. Yet, Elves still attacked shattering it.

06-04-07, 09:57 AM Its funny, back when I first started playing in the Realms back in 2ed I used to confuse Cormyr with Cormanthyr all the time. Glad to see I'm not the only one who has made that mistake.

If you remember the moment that the Calishites see Drizzt as a drow they start screaming "Drow of Mir" all over the place. So we can assume they aren't peacefull.

-The Crusade triumphs over its foes and occupies Myth Drannor
-Fzoul Chembryl enters into alliance with two surface drow houses to work in concert against the newly re-occupied Myth Drannor.

This should also figure heavilly in the upcoming module Shadowdale: The Scouring of the Land:

Zhentish soldiers, Maerimydran drow, and Sharran cultists have forged a dark alliance to subjugate the peaceful land of Shadowdale.

This should also figure heavilly in the upcoming module Shadowdale: The Scouring of the Land:Zhentish soldiers, Maerimydran drow, and Sharran cultists have forged a dark alliance to subjugate the peaceful land of Shadowdale.

Strangely enough, the Cormanthor drow (mainly Jaelre and Auzkovyn) are not the Maerimydraen drow, for those are, these days, Kiaransaleens.
