I need to know if drow spell resistance & or spell abilties will fade with time being on the surface. Please inform me.

Don't know about the spell-resistance but it's mentioned in the Dark Elf trilogy that drow spell-like abilities will eventually fade away outside of the Underdark. However, it's Salvatore so I don't know if this would be canon.

There is actually a FR Races etc. board, just to let you know. ;)

In AD&D, the drow's abilities did fade on the surface, at least most of them. In 3E/RE, they do no longer fade. So a drow on the surface keeps SR, spell-like abilities etc.. Drow suffer from light-blindness though, which can be countered by the Daylight Adaption feat, or some spells.
Remember that due to in-novel continuety, certain drow characters still behave somewhat differently than those of canon non-novel lore. In adventures or campaigns, drow do not suffer like e.g. Drizzt does.
