Reading through the underdark book, I came across the drowcraft equipment. Similar to the dissolving equipment of earlier editions.

The equipment must make a Fort save DC8 or dissolve.
It's caster level is 12.

To my knowledge magical equipment has a bonus on it's saving throw (2 + 1/2 caster level)
So it has a saving throw bonus of 8 and must meet a DC8 or dissolve?
Seems like an error to me, unless I am mistaken.

So it will only dissolve if you roll a natural 1? Sounds a bit wrong...

95% chance of making it is probably set too high.

It states the equipment must only roll once per day.

Think it's just something they overlooked.

This is probably intentional. Equipment that dissolves easily has all sort of design problems (see SKR's rant on this topic)
