The FRCS lists the duegar level adjustment as +2, but the new Underdark book lists it as +1. Is the +1 a typo or new updated rule?

A golden rule I have always gone by: The newer book is usually the right one.

I think it should be only +1 anyways...

Say's you, with the added dwarven capabilities, duergar are getting mighty tuff. Along those lines, the drow now require a 13 intelligence to use the base drow spell-like abilities.

The revised Monster Manual also lists duergar as LA +1, so I'm assuming that +1 is correct.

I used LA +1 even before the 3.5 MM came up. Duergars have some cool abilities but nothing even remotely like Drow or Volodni and Hagspawn from Unapproachable East.

I'm yet to see the new book but i was wondering if they adjusted the deep gnomes at all and if the had any new stuff on them.
