If you're REALLY interested in a long and arduous (or, on a similar vein, a very very quick) dungeon crawl, may I suggest a visit to Undermountain? For just a short trip down the well in Durnan's inn, you'll have more than a lifetime's worth of dungeon adventuring ahead of you... If you live that long. I mean, Elminster himself called the place, "the best place to earn a name for yourself, and the largest graveyard of heroes in Faerun"...

It's about 9 levels of madness, with more than a score sublevels scattered in between levels 5 and 8. Some of the sublevels (Madgoth's Castle and the Lost level, as well as the Aquitocrum that appears in Stardock) are up for download in the D&D downloads section for free, so just go and get them. :)

-Yep, there is Undermountain.

-How about the Underdark? The whole place can be one big dungeon...

I've been working on some stuff for Undermountain myself, including a timeline which can be found here (http://www.candlekeep.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6565).

Technically, the world's largest dungeon is probably The World's Largest Dungeon. Not specifically set in FR, though. Likewise, the Shackled City adventure path isn't set there, but it covers 20 character levels. I haven't looked at Age of Worms yet, but I believe it's set in the FR; it's also a 20-level module being published in installments in Dungeon Magazine.

If you can wait for Mysteries of Moonsea to be released, it's supposed to have 37 adventures within it.

City of the Spider queen covers something like 10th-18th levels.

Incorrect; Undermountain is larger than the World's Largest Dungeon due to the sheer amount of levels involved, to say nothing of the sublevels. Undermountain is additionally a lot less contrived than the WLD, but requires a bit more work to run a 3e campaign in.

thanks guys! i'll stick with the classics. "Undermontain" looks like the most menacing and fun to play after all. (besides, i already have the AD&D module ^^)
