| Astanphaeus07-23-03, 06:41 PM | I'm tempted to try this one myself... but I don't have the time right now. Go here and make a request: http://boards1.wizards.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=391 ...If no one takes it on, I might sketch something out next week. In the meantime, here's a dwarven barbarian request I did for someone. Maybe you'll have some use for it. ;) http://scratch.heretical.net/pix/dwarf-barbarian.gif -- A |
| Bazcasta07-23-03, 08:00 PM | W:eek:W, thats really good. I do't have a use for it at the moment but I have a dwarf barbarian waiting for someone to die so he can be used, I'll print that off. thanks, I'd extremely appreciate it if you drew a druid, anytime is fine. (If you want to, that is) |

| Arduin07-24-03, 02:17 AM | A dwarven druid? Oo oi! |
| Bazcasta07-24-03, 08:27 AM | Yes a "doo dad", but thats not where I got the WHOLE idea, ranger is arctic dwaves favored class, so why not multi into a druid. Favorite Pikel saying: "Drizzit Dudden" |
| Arduin07-24-03, 08:35 AM | Pikel is so cool, not done reading all five books yet though. Working on it though. |
| Bazcasta07-24-03, 08:43 AM | Im only on the third book, but i read Thousand Orcs. (won't say anymore, so as not to give any possible spoilers) I like how Ivan yells at him. |
| Arduin07-24-03, 09:22 AM | Ivan and Pikel are in Thousand Orcs??? |
| Bazcasta07-24-03, 10:04 AM | Yeah, I'm not quite finished yet, but they are in it. They're probably my favorite part of that book. |
| Darkmore07-24-03, 11:38 AM | Originally posted by Arduin A dwarven druid? Oo oi! As said before I'd rather say that it's a good idea ;) Actually RoF clearly says that arctic dwarf spellcasters are mostly druids ... focusing on fire spells to deal more damage to cold based monters... Wandering with a dire badger or a boar and wielding a club ...l that looks pretty cool ! Now for the pic you asked ... sorry the only thing I've found is the following dwarven sorcerer Can't say it looks like an arctic dwarf though ... you might deal with colors  http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/hosted/Pozas/Pictures/Oddballs/dwarf_sorceror.jpg |
| Arduin07-24-03, 11:47 AM | My comment was concerning a dwarven druid-wannabe from The Cleric Quintet, who had this thing about saying "Oo oi!" and "Doo dad!" tweny times per page ;) |
| Darkmore07-24-03, 11:49 AM | Shame on me :embarrass :D |
| Mr. Domino07-24-03, 01:44 PM | www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/cc/cc20011028a Will this work? |
| Bazcasta07-24-03, 01:52 PM | Thank you for the pictures, I really like the sorc. one, I printed them both off. I also think it's funny when Pikel (wanna-be "Doo-dad") says: "Brudder" |
| Arduin07-24-03, 02:13 PM | Me brudder!! |
| optimus prime07-24-03, 04:01 PM | We can't forget his telltale "Hee Hee Hee" http://boards.wizards.com/rpg/avatars/Transformers-Optimus.gif |
| Purple Dragon Knight07-24-03, 04:43 PM | Astanphaeus, bump! What do you say of my request? there might be some compensation involved if you're willing to discuss this. |
| Astanphaeus07-24-03, 07:05 PM | http://scratch.heretical.net/pix/dwarf-druid.gif How's this, Bazcasta? -- A. |

I'm not putting more detail in my description because I want to leave you as much artistic license as you want!! :) :) :) Excellent. I always wanted to do an elf based on Don Knots. No, I'm kidding. ;) -- A. |

| Bazcasta07-24-03, 11:46 PM | Well I'll practice. Just can you give me a little advice on where to start drawing, and how to draw hair? I used to buy DBZ trading cards and make an almost exact replica only bigger, it was fun... anyway thats alot easier to do. thanks again |
| Bazcasta07-25-03, 12:07 AM | You don't need to do this guy, I would like a picture of him but it's ok if you don't have time or don't want to. | Arduin07-25-03, 04:28 AM | Astanphaeus I would really like a portrait too. Is there any way to reach via e-mail or something? If so, could you send me a msg? rites@rites.dk |
| Astanphaeus07-25-03, 10:05 AM | PDK: http://scratch.heretical.net/pix/elf-wizard.gif Here's my take on Cyrros. Hope you like him. -- A. |
| Herr Doktor07-25-03, 10:30 AM | Astanphaeus... you're really good man. One thing of note that I don't seem to be able to pull off is the folds and creases in clothing. Are these pictures just shaded with an inkpen? |
| Bazcasta07-25-03, 10:45 AM | Another really good drawings |
| Purple Dragon Knight07-25-03, 11:53 AM | A thousand thank you, Astanphaeus! Do you mind if I start a thread called: "The art of Astanphaeus"? Let me know! we have to share these with the rest!!! |
| Trout07-25-03, 12:57 PM | damn dude those are great id be tempted to try but i cant draw a straight line or a circle for that matter but dude two thumbs up if you ever have free time cause i have a bladesinger (wizard prestige) that i havnt been able to draw and my friends just havnt been able to do it very well either but if you ever do have time would be appreciated Moon Elf Wiz 10 / bladesinger 2 Name: Lindir' Hyandas Alighnment:chaotic good Height: 4 foot 3 Weight: 115 Skin: err moon elf color Hair: whitish silver Gender: male wears: clothing is black white cloak and elven chainmail and a amulet of health his weapon is a longsword + 3 which has 1d4 fire dmg 1d6 lightning dmg (1d4 originally but a magic gem in the hilt upgraded the dice once) this guy favors lightning spells and likes to craft arms and armor |
| Crust07-25-03, 01:25 PM | Jeez, Ast, that's major talent, and you seem to bang out the drawings rather quickly, too. I wish I had your abilities. I've wanted to illustrate my players and NPCs for years, but I haven't found anyone to do it for me. I used to draw, but that was when I was a young kid, and it didn't stick. :( I'd ask you to draw something for me, but I imagine your schedule is tied up as it is with requests. It would be so nice to have a group shot of my current group of players. Good job. That dwarven druid hits the nail right on the head. Well done. |
| avian tiefling07-25-03, 10:19 PM | And then there's always Pikel's "Sha-la-la" shieliaugh (i think that's how it's spelled) yup yup. |
| Desies07-25-03, 10:51 PM | I just want to congratulate you on your artistic talent. I'm quite impressed. I was trying to decide wether or not offer you one of my characters to take a crack at. At first I didn't want to be annoying, but I can't pass up the possibility of great art. Also all the others were of mages, so maybe you could give this a shot. Human monk/fighter uses rapier and shortsword black hair (long)/eyes the pirate type character (don't forget the trademark bandanna!) Just if you wanna |
| Belodanna Wolfbane07-28-03, 12:28 AM | :OMG! Holy Cow Have you Ever thought about working for WotC? You could draw concept art |
| Neblin of the Green07-28-03, 02:01 AM | I don't often compliment people, but this is worth it. Damn mate, well done. Futher up in the thread, a bloke mentioned a bladesinger. Now that I'd like to see, seeing as I have never seen a representation of one. |
