| Ramar Aulinvox02-28-06, 07:38 PM | I'm making this thread because I'm leaving the WOTC boards. I'm tired of the arguements about things that are posted by me and others when they relate to Ed's comments, sourcebooks, etc. Sorry to see ya leave. |
| Evergreen_Aldaron02-28-06, 08:36 PM | :thumbsdow Plain english...that stinks. Be well Kuje... |
| Belissaire02-28-06, 08:44 PM | I don't understand your beef against the board. Maybe you'll change your mind... You can't leave all the space to Gothic Dan! Your contributions were always welcome. Bel. |
| Old Sage02-28-06, 09:09 PM | I'm making this thread because I'm leaving the WOTC boards. I'm tired of the arguements about things that are posted by me and others when they relate to Ed's comments, sourcebooks, etc. If anyone needs to contact me, my email is in my profile and so are my IM programs. Of course this file will be updated every Monday and the files will be updated on Candlekeep every quarter. Also, I say I'm sorry to those posters that I posted your questions to Ed and you are waiting for his answers, when he answers them I'll try to contact you or his answers will be in my updates. My files can be found at: http://home.rochester.rr.com/kuje/Firstly, I want to express how disappointed I am to see Kuje leave because of these events. It's a sad day indeed when this sort of situation forces such an "FR junky" to abandon a position he has held for so long. Secondly, while I do not agree with his decision, I can certainly understand it as of late I've been thinking about leaving also. These constant disputes over Ed's comments and the Realmslore are tiresome and hardly ever conductive to the original topic of a thread. I'm going to stay with it for a while longer... and to honour Kuje's position here, I'm taking over updating this thread. Kuje and I have discussed this already and we feel it is appropriate to still keep those posters with an interest in what Ed has to say at Candlekeep up-to-date with his comments. I'll post when the update comes up, and remind posters where they are located -- namely at Kuje's URL. The ToC and indexes are already available at Candlekeep, so it's not worth posting them here as well. Let it also be known that Kuje will continue to ferry questions for Ed between here and Candlekeep -- just contact him through his email listed in his profile or through his IM addresses. Third, and finally, while I will continue to help answer questions about the Realmslore here at WotC... I will no longer be drawn into debates about this or that Realmslore or what Ed really meant about what he said or may have said. I'm posting and referring to what Ed has said... and that's it. I will no longer engage in pointless debates because some posters refuse to accept certain facts. I see this as the major reason why Kuje left... and its continuation will see the same result from me as well. That's it. I may come across particular harsh here, but I'm extraordinarily angry that it has come to this and that Kuje's activity here has been lost as a result. I won't say anymore... other than the next update for Ed's comments will be Monday, 6th of March 2006. |
| Old Sparky02-28-06, 09:58 PM | Third, and finally, while I will continue to help answer questions about the Realmslore here at WotC... I will no longer be drawn into debates about this or that Realmslore or what Ed really meant about what he said or may have said. And that's all anyone --other than Ed himself-- should do when it comes to what he meant about things he's said. Stating the facts is good, speculating from those statements leads to a gray area... this speculation isn't bad, though, unless one feels his speculation is more justified than someone else's. Still, it would probably be better to simply state the facts or lack of them when an arguement occurs, because until word from on high gets officially handed down, no one is likely to convince anyone of something opposed to what they originally believed... which makes arguing pointless. |
| Old Sage02-28-06, 11:56 PM | Please guys... let's just keep this thread for the updates okay? Can you continue this discussion elsewhere like PMs? I am writing in red here to reiterate this point because it's a good one. -WizO Lyoness |
| Zanan03-01-06, 04:56 AM | I'm making this thread because I'm leaving the WOTC boards. I'm tired of the arguements about things that are posted by me and others when they relate to Ed's comments, sourcebooks, etc. If anyone needs to contact me, my email is in my profile and so are my IM programs. See ... that happens when me is not checking this thread all too often ... because I scan the Candlekeep boards myself regularly. Who bothered you? Give me names and they will be put into place! Now honestly, you can't leave me here, for I need your knowledge about sources and FR info as back up and all! Heck, just imagine the amount of IMs/PMs you will get! Now, honestly, sad to see you leave because of some know-alls and never-be-satisfieds. Now, make sure you have a cosy resting place for a drow female over at the Keep, will you?! |
| Karsus the Mad03-01-06, 05:04 AM | Now, honestly, sad to see you leave because of some know-alls and never-be-satisfieds. Same reason drove the authors away. Oddly, it's a case of the exact opposite I believe, and the result of an opinionated interpretation of an unrelated topic being pushed as a fact for the topic at hand, when in the end it was proven (by Ed himself) it was indeed not a fact, and incorrect in it's entirety. Anyway, sayonara and have fun :) |
| Sliced_Mustard03-01-06, 09:00 PM | Please guys... let's just keep this thread for the updates okay? Can you continue this discussion elsewhere like PMs? I am writing in red here to reiterate this point because it's a good one. -WizO Lyoness sounds fine, though when Old Sage first posted, the bulk of his post is opinions about Kuje31 leaving. this makes its seem like a topic of discussion. after he has his say about how angry he is, its okay for him to say no more talking about this here; only the updates in this thread? seems like favoritsm. |
| Lord Karsus03-01-06, 11:47 PM | sounds fine, though when Old Sage first posted, the bulk of his post is opinions about Kuje31 leaving. this makes its seem like a topic of discussion. after he has his say about how angry he is, its okay for him to say no more talking about this here; only the updates in this thread? seems like favoritsm. -For the sake of it, I agree. If we shouldn't be posting, have WizO_Lyoness modify the thread, or something. But, if she did, I'd be even more disappointed in the operation of the boards here than I already am, since that would really solidify your point, Mustard. |
| WizO_Lyoness03-02-06, 04:52 PM | To clarify, I agree with the notion that this thread might have a longer life if it's kept to updates only. However, I have no issue with anyone bidding farewell to Kuje or expressing any other feelings on the subject provided it stays friendly. What would make me close this thread are the same things I'd close any other thread for, like inflammatory statements for example. -WizO Lyoness |
| Alurvelve03-02-06, 10:05 PM | I am sad to hear that you are going. I do hope that you change your mind and decide to stay. You help me a great deal on my courting srinshee campaign. Please do not let these people get to you. But if you do leave i do wish you the best of luck. |
| Zsych03-03-06, 04:55 AM | Will be sorry to see you go Kuje. |
| Gallameed03-03-06, 08:42 PM | Bye Kooge. :) |
| bitter thorn03-04-06, 05:54 PM | Farewell sir, you'll be missed. |
| WizO_Lyoness03-04-06, 07:26 PM | If there is any interest in keeping this thread as an index of Ed's answers, please take unfriendly arguments elsewhere. If I see more unfriendly arguments, this thread will be closed. |
| Old Sage03-04-06, 08:43 PM | Couldn't you just remove the offending posts? I'd rather this thread be kept open so that I don't have to start a new one for the updates... and have that one also potentially result in a flurry of unfriendly comments... |
| Thayth0103-04-06, 09:15 PM | Kuje31, You are the only reason why I come to this website! Please DON'T GO! But if you do, I don't blame you. You will be missed. Take care! |
| Another Gnome03-05-06, 04:35 AM | Awwww, man... now I need to start reading Ed's answers myself instead of waiting for you to spell them out for me... :weep: Alas, this woeful fate betide us! Days of yore gone a-past now, Words sound and wise of Kuje31, Ne'er more to grace our screens! O woeful fate! Alas, alas! |

Kuji - you were a great source for the FR baords, and when I was DMing in FR I found you to be one of the actually useful members of the baords, always there with advice and exerpts to back them up. Thanks for all the hard work & I hope you're internet time is now happier  |
