I was wondering if some of the gamers on here who chat with Ed on Candlelight could possibly send me his email. i have to send an email for a school project and i want to send one to him, if you could sent it straight to my private messages that way there is no problems. Thank you in advance.

None of us know Ed's email except for those he gave it to privately. He does not publically give out his email and this is one of the reasons why he uses someone else to post his messages. THO on Candlekeep, and the other on the mailing list. :)

yeah, Ed's a fairly well known guy and if he got an e-mail addy known to well the public that e-mail account would be turned neigh useless.

I mean sure Ed'd get a few cool e-mails. but on the other hand he'd get some useless stuff, as well as people saying "FR Sux, Elminister sux! I hate you" (Critisism is all good and fair but only if it's constructive useful critisism).

so basicly his e-mail inbox would be flooded.

And he is totally flat out at the moment in terms of work, novel writing and life stuff - and hence unlikely to be in a position to help, much as he'd want to. He's always very generous with his time and help.

Plus as a successful campaign designer, he would get flooded with people sending him their campaign worlds, asking if for feedback on their worlds.

Thanks guys, but it was never my intention to ever send him all of the above listed items, thanks anyway.

not yours no but other people would if he made it public ;)

that being said I'd love to see an "Ask ed" series of articles where wotc sets up a special email account for us to ask Ed FR questions and get em answered. sortta like the jedi counciling articles over at the Star wars part of this website except fluff based instead of rules.

I doubt Ed would agree. He has two places already where he answers questions. Candlekeep.com and the mailing list. However, he uses middlemen as go betweens for very good reasons that he has discussed before. :)

What Kuje said above is a reflection of the maximum amount of time Ed can devote to "outside" projects -- keeping up with the replies at Candlekeep and on the mailing list.

Additionally, I would take a look at Ed's email to Eric about his current absence from Candlekeep. That should give you a fair idea of what most of Ed's days are like when busy with crafting more Realmslore:- http://boards1.wizards.com/showpost.php?p=7726965&postcount=297

not saying it'd every happen just that it'd be cool if it did.
