With the recent release of Champions of Ruin, I've started an Eldreth Veluuthra campaign for some evil-loving elves. I've got some stuff figured out for some tasks they'll be ordered to do (starting off small, knocking off some half-elves, building up to the elimination of a Harper guildhouse) but I'm trying to figure out a way to make it expand into a much large, "epic" campaign where there's a serious chance they'll do massive damage or even stir up some all-out war.

Anybody have some good suggestions?

well I'd start murdering some sages on elven lore (humans of course), razing farms, killing leaders and then framing a rival city... Other sources of havoc may involve rousing goblinoids, raising dead in the local cementery, causing fires or floods, summoning beast of prey to kill cattle, summoning rats to ruin crops... endless posibilities

Hmmm... i'd say it would depend on where you're having the campaign set. I've toyed with the idea of running an Eldreth Veluuthra campaign and here's a couple of ideas I've came up with -

The EV are trying to get the Humans around either the High Forest or Cormanthor to attack into the forest / burn the forest / increase woodcutting (whatever works). This will force the Humans into more encounters with non-EV Elves and allow the EV's message to be heard with open ears. This has the potential to lead to a large-scale war. An interesting twist (brought up in the Lords of Darkness book, I believe) is to have the EV disquise themselves as Drow... this would be kiling two birds with one stone for the EV in Cormanthor.

While the EV believe themselves to be on the side of good and will shy from non-Elven evil acts you could always have a tie-in to some powerful Fey-ri. Demon summoning has the potential to make a very very epic game.

So there's a couple of ideas... remember a few things. Elves are very long lived and family lore is passed down from generation to generation. This gives elder EV members an abundance of history, magic, and manipulation at their disposal... pretty much anything goes!
